Green Energy · Sustainable Infrastructure

Clean power, generated where it is used.

VidYash Energy builds distributed renewable generation and storage for the places that need it most — the farm, the pump, the cold room and the compute rack. Solar, agrivoltaics, wind, green hydrogen and hydrokinetic energy, engineered into systems that run without a grid to lean on.

Capabilities

Six sources. One energy system.

Each generates on its own schedule — sun by day, wind by season, water without pause. Designed together, they cover for one another and the site stays powered.

01

Solar PV Generation

Rooftop, ground-mount and pump-connected solar sized to a real load profile rather than a nameplate figure. String design, structure, inverters and monitoring delivered as one system, built to hold output through a decade of Indian dust and heat.

02

Agrivoltaics

Elevated and spaced arrays that let a field produce twice — electricity above, crop below. Panel height, row pitch and tilt are set around the crop and the machinery that works it, and the partial shade cuts evaporative loss on the land underneath.

03

Wind Energy

Small and medium wind for sites where the resource is real — coastal belts, ridgelines and open plateau. Resource assessment first, hardware second: we would rather report that a site does not have the wind than sell a turbine that never pays back.

04

Green Hydrogen

Electrolysis driven by our own renewable output, with the storage and distribution to make it useful: compression, cylinder and tube-trailer handling, and fuel-cell offtake for equipment that batteries cannot serve. Energy held for weeks, not hours.

05

Hydrokinetic Energy

Turbines that take power from moving water without damming it — canals, irrigation channels, weir tailraces and river flow. No reservoir, no head structure, and a generation curve that runs through the night when solar has stopped.

06

Storage, Microgrids & Distribution

Battery banks, hybrid inverters and controls that decide, second by second, what charges, what discharges and what runs. The result is a site that holds through a cloudy afternoon and a night without grid supply — and knows its own numbers.

Where the power goes

Generation is half the problem.

We build energy for two demanding loads: the agricultural operation that cannot afford an outage at the wrong hour, and the compute that turns a farm’s data into decisions.

01

Powering agriculture

Irrigation pumps, cold rooms and storage, processing lines, drone charging and field IoT. Farm loads are seasonal, peaky and often far from a reliable feeder — which is exactly the case distributed generation and storage were made for.

02

Accelerated computing micro data centres

Containerised GPU compute placed at the edge and fed directly from renewable generation. Crop imagery, sensor streams and models are processed near where the data is created — and the site’s thermal load and generation curve are designed in from the start, not retrofitted.

03

Rural microgrids & community power

Village-scale generation, storage and distribution for clusters of farms, FPOs and agri-processing units — shared infrastructure that no single holding could justify alone, metered so every participant can see what they drew.

How it works

Generate. Store. Deploy.

Renewables only pay when the energy arrives at the moment the load calls for it. We design for that gap first and choose the technology second.

Layer 01

Generate

Solar, agrivoltaic, wind and hydrokinetic assets sized against a measured load profile and a site’s real resource — irradiance, wind speed, channel flow — not a regional average or a catalogue rating.

Layer 02

Store

Batteries for the hours, green hydrogen for the days and weeks. Electrolysis absorbs the surplus that would otherwise be curtailed and returns it when generation is short and the load is not.

Layer 03

Deploy

Controls and microgrid switching put power where it earns most — the pump at irrigation hour, the cold room through the night, the compute rack whenever there is headroom — with the whole system telemetered and remotely visible.

What we optimise for

Cheaper energy that also happens to be clean.

Sustainability holds when it is the lower-cost option. Our job is to make the green choice the one that also makes commercial sense.

Lower cost of energyGeneration at the point of use, without transmission losses or a diesel bill behind it.
Power that stays onStorage and hybrid control carry the site through outages, clouded days and the night.
Land that works twiceAgrivoltaic layouts keep the crop and add a second revenue stream from the same acre.
Carbon actually displacedDiesel gensets and grid coal replaced by measured renewable output, recorded per site.
About us

We build businesses around clean energy.

VidYash Energy India Private Limited is a renewable energy company registered in Pune, Maharashtra, and part of the Global VidYash Group. We develop generation, storage and distribution systems — solar, agrivoltaic, wind, green hydrogen and hydrokinetic — for agriculture and for the computing that increasingly runs alongside it.

Indian agriculture runs on unreliable and expensive energy. Feeders reach the farm late in the day or not at all, pumps wait on a supply window rather than on the soil, cold storage that would save a harvest is not built because nobody can guarantee it power, and diesel fills the gap at a cost the crop can rarely carry. The energy is available overhead and in the channel alongside the field; what is missing is the system that captures it and holds it until the load asks.

That is the work. We size generation against measured load, add storage in the two forms that matter — batteries for hours, hydrogen for weeks — and put controls on top that decide what runs. Where the land allows, we raise the array and keep farming underneath it. Where a canal runs past, we take power from the flow. And because these sites now generate data as fast as they generate crop, we place accelerated-computing micro data centres on that clean supply, so the processing happens where the power and the data both already are.

Energy and agriculture are one problem in our group, not two. VidYash Energy exists so that the farms our sister company instruments have something dependable to run on.

Rahul Yashawant Doiphode

Founder & Director

Rahul founded VidYash Energy in 2024 to solve the constraint sitting underneath every other problem he was working on: farms and field systems with no dependable power to run on. His view is that the answer is not a larger grid but generation and storage placed at the point of use — sized properly, controlled properly, and owned by the operation that depends on it.

He leads the company’s technology direction across solar and agrivoltaic design, storage and microgrid control, green hydrogen and hydrokinetic generation, and the energy-first architecture of the group’s edge computing work. He serves alongside co-director Vidya Shantaram Shinde, and works closely with VidYash AgriTech and VidYash Aerospace, where the same sites, the same land and often the same load are the subject.

He is based in Pune, Maharashtra.
